Emmaus

The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders.  It is a 72-hour short course in Christianity, comprised of 15 talks given by laity and clergy on themes of God's grace.  The program's approach is a model of prayer, servanthood, and discipleship.  The course is made up of meditations, special times of worship, and daily celebration of Holy Communion.

Upcoming 2008 Walk dates are April 10-13, Men's Walk and April 17-20, Women's Walk; and October 9-12 Men's Walk and October 16-19 Women's Walk.

During and after the three days, participants are encouraged to meet regularly in small groups for faithful living.  LUMC has several groups from which to choose different times.

For more information, call the church office.  Members of the LUMC Emmaus Community would be delighted to sponsor you for a Walk.  You may learn more at http://www.heartlandemmauskc.org/.
