Rev. Dr. Tyler Kaufmann, DMin, is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. A homegrown product of the heartland, Tyler has a passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in a down to earth way and getting his hands dirty in service. Serving God’s people has led Tyler to pastor in a diverse range of settings from rural ranching communities in Montana and an historic Filipino church in Hawaii to suburban churches in Kansas and an urban church in Denver focused on supporting the homeless. In each of these settings Tyler’s ministry has been shaped by innovative ministries, interfaith dialogue, acts of service, and a passion for educating, equipping, and encouraging people to bring their God-given dreams to life.

Tyler received his B.A. in Vocal Music Performance from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT, his Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Drew Theological School in Madison, NJ, where he studied interfaith relations with Dr. Wesley Ariarajah, and his Doctor of Ministry (DMin) from George Fox University in Newburg, OR where he studied Semiotics, Church, and Culture with Dr. Leonard Sweet.

In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending quality time with his son, Theodore. His idea of a good time is getting outdoors and active. He especially enjoys rock climbing, hiking, outdoor sports, and playing board games.
