Join us on Sunday, December 7 at 10:30 am for The Dawn of Hope, a new Advent cantata written for Leawood United Methodist Church in Leawood, Kansas under the direction of Melanie Melcher Cuthbertson. With music by Gavin Lendt and lyrics by Gavin Lendt and Tyler Kaufmann, this work draws primarily from the Book of Isaiah as it explores themes of anticipation, prophecy, and the coming of Christ. The cantata guides listeners on a journey from longing to redemption and ultimately to peace.
Join us on Saturday, December 13th, at 4 p.m. for a festive Gingerbread House Decorating Party! This event is a chance for you and your family to create your own gingerbread masterpieces. To help us prepare enough gingerbread house kits, please sign up here to participate.
We will also need a few volunteers. You can signup to volunteer online or in the Narthex.
After worship on Sunday, Dec. 14, join us for soup downstairs in Lane Hall. Afterwards, we’ll visit The Forum retirement community to sing Christmas carols for members who aren’t able to be with us in worship. Soups are provided; bring a side or just bring yourself. All are welcome!
